Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) for Seismic Monitoring in Chiba, Japan

Analysis and modelling of seismic response of DAS array deployed in depleted oil well in Chiba Prefecture in Japan. Earthquake motions were captured using straight cable (STC) and helically wound cable (HWC), each demonstrating unique seismic profiles. In this project with Research Institute of Technology for the Earth (RITE), I proposed statistical analysis using Kurtosis to identify P and S-wave arrivals.
